Affiliated Artist Chester Arnold
|
Chester Arnold was born in Santa Monica, California in 1952. He was
taught by private instructors while living in Munich, Germany until his
family returned to California in 1970. Arnold attended the College of Marin
in Kentfield, California and went on to receive a master of fine arts degree
from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1987. In 1996 he received a Western
Sates Arts Federation/National Endowment for the Arts Foundation Grant and
in 1997 was an Artist in Residence and the Tamarind Institute Lithography
Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Arnold's work has been exhibited
throughout the United States and internationally since 1985, including one
person exhibits at the San Jose Museum of Art in San Jose, California, the
Salt Lake Art Center, Salt Lake City, Utah, the Rockford College art Center,
Rockford, Illinois, The Tacoma Art Museum, Tacoma Washington and Western
Washington State University in Bellingham Washington. Arnold presently
teaches at the College of Marin in Kentfield California.
