Gaylen Hansen / April
Linda Hodges Gallery has exhibited the exceptional work of Gaylen Hansen since 1984. From the exploits of his alter ego, "The Kernal," to his depictions of animals and the objects used in the act of painting (paint tubes, brushes, etc.), Hansen has consistently put forth work that has solidified his reputation as one of the nation's premier artists.
Gaylen Hansen, now approaching 100 years old, was born in Garland, Utah and lives on Whidbey Island. He received his MFA from the University of Southern California, and taught at Washington State University for 25 years, until his retirement in 1982. Hansen has exhibited in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Berlin, Singapore, Beijing, and throughout the Northwest.
