Affiliated Artist    Nancy Loughlin  Images | Resume    Nancy Loughlin : "Discord"     In her third show at the Linda Hodges Gallery, Northwest painter Nancy Loughlin presents a new body of work entitled "Discord," an exhibition in which the artist portrays the tension that exists between man and nature. Using a complex web of imagery and a shifting viewpoint, Loughlin paints a tableau of plants, animals and machines, coexisting in a dreamlike environment of dissected interiors and exteriors. Expressing a commentary on our shared existence, Loughlin asks important questions regarding our responsibility and will to preserve the natural world.
