Roger L. Jones  Images | Resume

Noted Seattle artist Roger Jones returns to Linda Hodges Gallery in a one person exhibition of new paintings. A particular appreciation for the Puget Sound area inspires this work, and solidifies the reputation of Jones, who has had a steady and successful painting career in Seattle for the last 25 years.
In his new work, the artist continues his tradition of fine landscape paintings, focusing on local venues including Thorton Creek and McAleer Creek. The artist searches these locations for what he describes as "sight sites," hiking and viewing, probing and photographing. Once found, these area are evaluated for their "visual poetry," and if qualified, are then rendered into works of art via a full range of colors, textures and brush strokes.
