   Tom Fawkes

   Tom Fawkes was born in Rochester, New York in 1941, received his BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1963 and an MFA in Painting in 1965 from Cranbrook Academy of Art. He has taught at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Oregon and is presently a member of the faculty of Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland. Fawkes has been the recipient of numerous awards and grants, including a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship and NEA grants. He will featured in a one person retrospective titled "Tom Fawkes: Terra Cognita" at the Hallie Ford Museum on the Campus of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon in June of this year.
