Now nearing his 9th decade, Hansen's imagination reins supreme, and he continues to dazzle his audience by creating work as vital and important as any in contemporary art today. Long time fans and new enthusiasts alike will delight in viewing Hansen's menagerie; iconic Kernal paintings, larger-than-life animals and intriguing still-life compositions. Appropriately, many of the paintings for this exhibition have been executed on a scale perfect for the new decade, and emphatically reaffirm Hansen's talent as a master painter.
