Affiliated Artist    Jack Chevalier   Images | Resume    The Linda Hodges Gallery has been exhibiting the work of Jack Chevalier for over three decades. In this, the artist's 15th solo exhibition, Chevalier expands upon his lexicon of social and political content to include historical references and the personalities that define them - in a format that assumes a condensed post modern linear narrative. Utilizing a mixed media approach, Chevalier creates a narrative through a juxtaposition of visual cues unlimited by a stylistic time frame, materiality or morphology of depiction. This allows for an examination of social and political history un-tethered from "the past," and results in work that is living, relevant and part of our conscience experience.
